Job Description

 

Position: Honorary Secretary                                                      26-05-02 V1

 

Role: Responsible for the club’s administration in accordance with the Constitution, By-Laws and Rules of the Club, Branch and AUSSI.

 

Things to Do:

Ø      Be a coordination link between members, the management committee and outside agencies.

Ø      Keep safe custody of all books and documents belonging to the club.

Ø      Enter the committee meeting minutes into the club books.

Ø      Prepare an annual general report on the affairs of the club for presentation and consideration at the AGM.

Ø      Be responsible and subject to the direction of the committee.

Ø      Keep the Branch informed of the club’s activities, including forwarding the Annual Reports and Financial Statements.

Assistance is always available from the executive and committee members.

 

Qualifications:

Ø      Good organization and delegation skills.

Ø      Good communication skills.

Ø      Clear thinker, and

Ø      Able to maintain confidentially on relevant matterse.

 

Time Commitments

Ø      2 hrs monthly to attend committee meetings.

Ø      The amount of time the office holder wishes to commit to the position.

Ø      The position is filled at the October AGM and held for 12 months.

 

Expenses

Ø      Pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed
