Position: Club Race Secretary
Role: The purpose of this position coordinate swim meet entries.
Things to Do:
1. Receive entries and entry moneys from members who wish to enter swimming carnivals in the A.C.T., or elsewhere in Australia.
2. Hand all moneys received to the Treasurer in exchange for a Club cheque to send to the host club.
3. Collate all entries on a Summary Sheet and mails it, together with a Club cheque and entry cards (when required), to the Race Secretary of the host club or organisation. When indicated, a copy of the summary sheet may also be mailed electronically to the Branch Recorder.
Where you can get help:
The clubs executive and committee members.
Qualifications: Friendly person, able handle small amounts of money, coordinate paper work and willing to assist the club and its members.
Time Commitment:
Ø Small amount of time on training nights to receive race entries, and social function entries
Ø 1 hrs before an carnival closing date to prepare and send the clubs entries
Ø The position is filled at the October AGM and held for 12 months.
Expenses:
Ø Should be none, but any pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
