Position: Honorary Treasurer

 

Role: The purpose of this position is to manage the clubs finances, and to make recommendations to the committee on the expenditure of club funds.

 

Things to Do:

  1. Receive and bank moneys.
  2. Pay approved accounts and other approved expenditure.
  3. Provide cash for the payment to coaches on training nights.
  4. Prepare monthly reports on the state of the clubs finances.
  5. Keep an accurate account of all monies paid and received.  Prepare and have audited, an annual set of financial statements to be presented to the AGM in accordance with the Incorporations Act.
  6. Report to the Registrar General in accordance with the Associations and Incorporations Act.
  7. Receive all member registrations and forward details to the Branch for Branch affiliation.

Qualifications: Friendly, honest person able to keep simple books and willing to assist the club and its members. Knowledge of accounting and booking preferred.

 

Time Commitment:

Ø      10-15 Hrs per month. 

Ø      Attendance at committee meetings when available (these take place monthly for approximately 2 hrs).

Ø      The position is filled at the October AGM and held for 12 months.

 

 

Expenses:

Ø      Should be none, but any pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
