Position: Volunteer Coordinator

This position has been created to ensure that being a committee member or being in other volunteer positions is a happy and rewarding experience.

 

Role: To Recruit, Retain, Reward and Support our Volunteers.

 

Things to Do:

1.      Coordinate volunteers for all club activities, monitoring their workload, satisfaction and support volunteer needs as required.

2.      Liaise with the executive, coaching, meet & event directors to assess volunteers needed for special events and the general running of the club.

3.      Develop and implement a volunteer reward and recognition program.

4.      Organize and coordinate the volunteer budget for all volunteers in conjunction with the treasurer. Ensure volunteers are reimbursed for agreed out-of-pocket expenses and budget accordingly.

5.      Review and update job descriptions for all volunteers.

6.      Provide monthly reports to the committee.

Qualifications: Friendly, outgoing, energetic and committed to the growth and longevity of the club and to its membership. (likes a beer)

 

Time Commitment:

Ø      To attend committee meetings that are scheduled monthly (currently on a Monday evening for approximately 2 hrs).

Ø      Commit time to discuss resource needs as required.

Ø      Attend or have a delegate attend all club events to monitor resourcing.

Ø      The position is filled at the October AGM and held for 12 months.

 

Expenses:

Ø      Pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
